ABOUT

PRIMARY

Welcome to Primary

For children ages 3 years to 6 years —

The Montessori Primary program is an active, self-paced learning environment for all five senses. Children cultivate the five areas of the Montessori Curriculum, including: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, and Culture, and develop competence through repetition and practice.

Our Primary classrooms offer a relaxed and stimulating environment where children may learn at their own pace in a noncompetitive fashion. The results are a love of learning, a positive self-image, and a sense of self-direction that forms a strong foundation for future growth in the classroom and beyond.

Our guides are highly trained and experienced in Montessori education. With a ratio of 1 to 10, each child is lovingly cared for and supported to learn independent skills.

Primary Environment & Community

Our Primary community has 2 trained Guides that gently support the growth and development of 20 students between the ages of 3 and 6 years old. Our beautiful, spacious classroom offers light-filled, open areas for each child to work and play, with materials and furniture designed just for them. We follow an authentic Montessori curriculum.

Primary Outdoor Space

Our playground is designed by Green Space Learning, which specializes in early childhood and Montessori learning. With open space, a hill, and a slide, children in Primary are provided opportunities for large muscle movement and the benefits of outdoor play in a space created just for them.

About Our Lead Primary Guide

I am an early childhood educator with a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education with a Montessori Concentration from the University of Hartford. I also hold an AMI Primary (3-6) diploma from the Montessori Institute of North Texas.

My training blends academic research with authentic Montessori principles, allowing me to support the developmental needs of young children through purposeful, child-led learning. I am passionate about creating nurturing environments that empower independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
